It was inspired by Shane <a href=\"http:\/\/shaneahern.com\/sfexplorer.html\">SF neighbourhood guide<\/a> and is a mashup of several technologies including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/tagmaps.research.yahoo.com\/\">TagMaps<\/a><\/li>\n<li>GeoRSS<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/pipes.yahoo.com\/\">Pipes<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/services\/api\/\">Flickr API<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Tons of Javascript<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;ll go into more details in a later post but it basically uses the <a href=\"http:\/\/developer.yahoo.net\/blog\/archives\/2007\/02\/new_callback_fu.html\">TagMaps callback function<\/a> to pull in content from Flickr, Wikipedia and Youtube to give a quick overview of each track.<\/p>\n<p>You can also play with a version of the guide <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rahulnair.net\/mashups\/f1-world.html\">on my website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>[tags]F1, Formula 1, circuit guide, TagMaps, mashup, Pipes, Flickr, Wikipedia, YouTube[\/tags]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SFF1 just used a version of my F1 circuit guide on their site.
