fyi, as of Dec 2011, “4) Delete org.videolan.vlc.plist in /DRIVENAME/Library/Preferences” is no longer applicable. (osx 10.6.8, mbpro)

Thanks for compiling such a great list. I’ve e-mailed the Food Network several times asking them to feature one of Anton Pasnaik’s places. His new restaurant Nine Thirty is beautifully designed with great food (anton-posniak.net). I’d also like to see them do more places in Los Angeles.

Good point Adam. The water heater is a great source if you are stuck at home though you do still want some water with your pack if you have to leave the house in the case of quake, fire, etc…
